I hope everyone is having an amazing Labor Day weekend! Sometimes I get inspired by old vintage photographs on Pinterest. This photoshoot was based on an old Coca Cola ad from the 1950s that I tried to re-create with a modern vibe. As you know, the summer ‘coke’ campaign has promoted personalized names on bottles and inspirational words, like ‘hero’ or ‘superstar.’ I was lucky to find my name and some colorful red and white straws from Home Goods to complete the look. And of course, when I saw this “@'” sign, I immediately had the creative vision to spell out ‘follow Ginny’s Closet’ utilizing the contrast of the bright blue pool for contrast. It fit the vintage , pin up vibe perfectly. Do you get inspired by Pinterest? It is now my go-to platform for all things creative.

Special thanks to my awesome lifeguard, Jeremy Siegel, for helping bring this vision to life.

Have a great day!

Sarah Jessica Parker has always been a source of fashion inspiration for me. Whether it’s playing her iconic, quirky character, Carrie Bradshaw on ‘Sex in the City’ or confidently strutting the streets of NYC with stand-out street style, I can’t help but admire her fearlessness and ability to take risks. She doesn’t necessarily follow trends and instead comes up with fresh and original outfits that reflect her personality. She has had many different memorable looks over the years and one of my favorites has to be the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Russia in June 2013. She models an incredible striped design by Oscar De La Renta and looks effortlessly elegant. When I saw this Alice and Olivia dress at a department store, I knew I wanted to re-create SJP’s HB cover with a nod to vintage poolside style. This may well indeed be one of my favorite dresses of all time because of the length, the material, and the silhouette that skims my curves perfectly. Thanks to my mom for capturing these fabulous images!

I hope you have a great day!
